Hunter Bridal Shower. The bridal shower is an old tradition, said to date back as far as the 16th century. It was generated from the practice of dowry for families that were too poor to give a dowry for their daughter. To help the family, groups of women gathered to give presents that would then allow the bride to marry her man. These days it is a little less formal than that and a lot more fun! Generally it is the bridesmaids who are in charge of organising the bridal shower, but sometimes the mother-of-the-bride might do it, a sister or another close friend.
